I've seen sport trucks use filler panels to cover up the windsheild wiper/cowl area below the windsheild, i've got some rough ideas on how to make these peices for a cavalier, but i figured i would check and see if anyone else has done it yet, some basic checking leads me to beleive that i will have just enough room to let the wipers clear the cover and the hood still raise fully, i'm also going to try to make some headlight covers out of fiberglass for 95-99 headlights much like the headlight eyelids tabasco racing makes, if anyone has any useful info or would be interested in either of these let me know, hopefully tomorrow or the next day i can try mocking some stuff up and get some basic pics so you guys know what i'm talking about.

I was thinking of this a few days after I got my 03 cav. I think the wipers stick out too high. The trick would be to make it look like part of the hood, but not move when the hood is raised. I wonder if the driver's vision would be blocked in any way.
i think the eyelids sound tight- i'd have to see the wiper thing ...good ideas!

ya, the filler panel would have to flow with the car, making the hood clear will be the trick but since the hood opens up and away it shouldnt be to hard. I dont think that vision will be that blocked, probably lose just alittle bit but if you think about where your wipers sit how many times have you ever really needed that section of the window for something important? as for the eyelids i'm gonna get some cardboard tomorrow and start masking off sections of my headlights to see how they turn out, i'm wanting an aggressive stance somethin like mecksters hood does for that car but alittle more fluid across the headlight. glad to see someone else likes the ideas if they go together easy and anybody likes them i could probably reproduce a couple if the price were right but i dunno havent tried either yet.

i was thinking about doing this also. i saw a wiper cowl on an RSX that was a wings west product, but im tryin to figure out how to make one for my car. if you make one post a pic.
will do
rough planning stages right now but i got a couple ideas to work with.

i've hit a few snags with my designs, so far the driver side wiper arm is a HUGE problem it sticks up above the hood line a considerable amount so i'm wondering if its a cast peice or if its alittle more durable if so i can heat it and reshape it a bit get the clearance i need, as for the eyebrows i havent gotten a chance to do anything to my car because my clutch is going awol on me and the temps have been incredibly low over the last week, anyone do any of this stuff to their cars yet? id love to see some pics of similar things done to cars, or at least get an idea of what i'm workin with here
. also does anyone know if its possible to sand the little bumps off of stock cavalier headlights? i guess worse case i could shape some plexi and remake my headlights in plexi.

Another idea, if you are having problems w/ hood clearance would be to suicide the hood. Just a thought, and good luck.
A buddy of mine fiberglassed eyelids into the hood of his sedan. Well, he has 1.5 done so far, lol. For the bumps on the headlights, he just dremeled off the one's that would get in the way when the hood is closed. I can try to get a pic if you want to see what it looks like.
I think the wiper cowl would look nice, keep us posted.
thats a pretty good idea to suicide the hood, kinda kills function to a degree, but if its good enough for italians why not for j bodies, deffinatly some good feedback so far
and ya i'd love to see pics of your buddies car sounds sweet.
