Where did u guys mount you gold series transformer? I think it has to be on an unpainted surface right?

On the core support right in front of the battery is where mine is...
i don't have streetglow, but i have underbodies... my transformer is actually inside my car tucked up under the dash. i've got a wire going from the ground point on the transformer to a chasis ground, and it works just fine. i did that cause i didn't want the transformer in the engine bay.
mine is under the driver side carpet.
