Was wondering if anyone else had a fitment issue with the invader hood from VIS. Mine seems to fit real snug on the passanger side but rides up a little on the drivers side. I just dont want the hood to crack cos its just enough space to vibrate when im driving. Its not the little rubber knobs that you can adjust either. I think that its the way the hood latch goes on cos it crosses over the middle. Well, just wondering if anyone had/has the same problem and if there's a way to get rid of it without using hoodpins.
Thanks
Rich
on mine my buddy at my body shop knocked the latch down and it comes down more and is more secure and no i dont have pins.

did he have to get a dremel tool and cut some of the frame? Mines all the way down thats why I was wonderin.
Rich
just pounded the latch down a little no frame cutting.

ALright I just went out and checked. its definately all the way down. I was toying with the ideal of cutting back the latch that screws into the hood about an inch and re welding it. Good? Bad?

arent vis hoods supposed to be one of the best?
sucks about the fitment...
thats normal... you need to actually remove the latch from the body of the car, there are 3 bolts I belive it is holding the latch to the car, take it off and file (or drmel) the holes into slots ging farther up, then guess anc ehck, take some meterail off bolt it on pushing it all the way down and close the hood and check ***********MAKE SURE YOU HOOK THE HOOD RELASE CABLE BACK UP TO THE LATCH EVERYTIME BEFORE YOU CLOSE THE HOOD*************
