Ok, I have a really large fiberglass spoiler and it bolts onto the deck lid in four points. Its designed to just bolt onto the sheet metal and be held on by that. BUT, I installed it like that and not only does it shake on the interstate but it flexes the deck lid a bit which isn't good. It's not gonna come off or anything but I'd just like it to be as secure as possible. Does anyone have any good ideas for an alternate way to secure it. I thought about using longer bolts and placing washers underneath the deck lid on the actual thick metal where the support arms for the trunk bolt on, but I don't know how well that would work or how feasible it is. So if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
AND BTW I like the spoiler thats why I bought it it. I'm not looking for someone to tell me to take it off as a suggestion. So please just try to contain yourself from posting that and just help out a fellow enthusiast. Thanks.
yea, i think really big washers would be the best thing. but i dont think youll need longer bolts. good luck.

yeah but then if it wasnt secured it would just crack the body filler, i need it to not move at all to do that...
been thinking about this for a while.... you could lay a few layers of fiberglass underneath yourn deck lid. Either all over it and then sand and paint. Or maybe just lay a couple of layers where it bolts on then sand and paint. not sure other wise or you could go with the big washer idea..... either way
