Whats the best way to attach and shave the drift sideskirts??? and how are they supossed to look?? I purchased mine from sound speed...
I dunno yet i am bout to find out, my drift kit should be here friday, Guy told me he would smooth out the side skirts for 150.
Well, 3m double sided mounting tape is the best way to mount the skirts....along with the some screws in each wheel well....And that is assuming they are a good fit....
check out my car domain page in my reg. its gets asked alot so i snapped a few pics of mine. also i think your a little confused w/ the wording. what do you mean by attach and shave? do you mean just bolt them on and call it a day, or are you talking about molding them in?
I never saw how the 3m tape would work since there is no flat surface.. I just cut and fit untill it fits, if it still doesnt fit I would
fiberglass a push pin (holds on trim pieces) tot he back and drill a hole for it to go into
take a strap at the top of the skirt and screw it inside the door jam
put a screw at a diagnol right up under the top part
just some ideas

^^ actually 3m makes this adhesive double side tape thats really strong. i picked up a set at cvs for my hood pins. instead of drilling the latch on, i have this 3m tape on it and it holds great. never had a problem w/ it coming loose.
The drift sides are notorious for not fitting right.... without mods, that is. BUT, the guy that did mine put screws all in along the door sill, and the wheel wells, and for SOME reason, the actual side of the car
. Then, if you have a Fire, which I don't know, since your reg isn't complete, You have some fasteners on the back of your stockers in the front and back, where the side goes up into the fenders and QP's. You can attach those to the drift sides. Mine held up like a mutha, even when I went off-roading, and the skirt was in three pieces, it stayed on. No 3M tape. Not dissing it, merely pointing out that is is unnecessary. later,
