Hey guys, well my buddy has an Integra GSR and has a VIS OEM carbon fiber hood on it, unfortunately some haters decided to do a bit of vandalizing to his hood, we havent figured out what they actually did yet, but anyways insurance doesnt cover anything so we gotta fix it and fix it quick, we have a large show in about 2 weeks. So my question is this, is there a way to fix carbon fiber, the actually CF material wasnt hurt at all, all it did was chip the top gel coat a bit, is there something i can use to fill in this area and then sand it out and buff it? If its not perfect thats fine, but i just wanted to know if we could kinda hide the blemish for the most part, pleaseeeeee any info is greatly appreciated.
where at on the hood? im sure you could re-clear coat the hood. i ask where the damage is on the hood because if its towards the outsides, you can have it fixed and if it doesnt look good, get the sides of the hood painted to match the car, leaving some sort of design in the middle in cf. kind of like pcs car or darkstars, how they have their cf hoods
if it's just the clear that was chiped and no damage was done to the c/f itself, then get the hood re-cleared.
or painted like said above
^^exactly.....paint or fill with clear.
