I bought the stock fogs for my cav, but, it dosn't have the wiring harness. I just want the connector and or relay that plugs into the 881 series bulbs, so i dont have to rig it with soldering wires right onto the bulbs. Anyone know where I can get this ?
It will be good to get the plug in harness in cause a light goes out.. You are going to need to get a relay if you want to use the stock switch in the car to turn them on. Only because the switch inside the car doesn't go up and stay on., and there is also one that turns off your fogs when you turn your highbeams on.
Any idea on where to buy these ?
You can buy them at an Auto zone if you want also. I've seen them over by the fog lamps. You will need a 4 prong relay and a 5 prong. The wiring in front of me calls for a 86,85,30,87 relay, and the other one is the 5 that is 87A,87,30,85,86. I'm one that likes the fogs on all the time so you don't need the second one for it.
I never used a relay before, just hardwired it up to the battery and then soldered wires to the actual lights, but, they kept coming off. So thats why i wanted to connectors. What exactly is the relay going to do . ..
