Carbon Fiber Hood + Canadian Winter = ?

Hi Everyone,

I got a crazy deal on a carbon fiber hood for a sunfire, nothing special just a direct factory replacement. My question is.... how does it hold up to the Canadian winter? It is so shiny and all and with our great layers of ice chipping from the hood as we drive.... will it take it? Or will it just look like crap after a year?

I am just affraid that after one winter it will look like a mob kept on walking over it in steel toes.

No one's driving with a carbon fiber hood in the winter (real winter anyways)?
