i have an 01 sunfire se sedan, was wondering how i would go about shaving the antenna. any small how-to posts would be helpful, thanks.

people say you can glass over it, then bondo a small layer because its small but the best way to do it to insure no cracking is to weld a piece of metal in

- Take out the antenna
- Cut a piece of metal to fit the hole
- Weld it in
- Grind till smooth
- Prime
- Paint

If you glass it then it might crack after a while or even after a week. Don't do it twice, do it once, and do it right. The only thing that sucks about shaving anything is that you have to paint the whole section after.

i welded a small peice of metal on the inside of my panel and filled it, it worked very easy.

i had a bodyshop do mine...since i was having work done anyway, didnt cost me much. i had my locks shaved too...
