I just got a 05 cavilier and was thinking about doing the flip flop trunk since i am putting my system in it and found a kit on ebay for like 40 bucks. Is it really that easy? was just looking for someone who has done it?

before you worry about a flip flop trunk you should learn how to spell the name of your car

Umm... you do know that's a photoshop right?! That's just a Sunfire Sedan made to look like a convertible. I haven't seen anybody actually do anything like that (and I mean welding the rear doors so it's a 'coupe' while cutting off the roof). I made some photoshops like that too, tryin' to look like a mini-truck sorta thing... They're all coupes tho, I haven't done a chop of my sedan into a truck yet (have done my sedan into a wagon, looked pretty sweet actually, but I can't find the pic)

White coupe, no drop or raise
Black coupe, no drop or raise
Same coupe, raised
Same coupe, raised, different wheels

Here's a couple chops of my car

/thread-jacking

Back on topic, there are threads here that tell you how to do it for free. I think you need to buy a couple hinges for a few bucks at the hardware store. I did not click those search links above, but I'm sure they have what you need.

well, you are both wrong. there is nothing deceiving you in my sig. that is an actual picture. my car is not photo chopped, nor do i have a real chop. sorry if the picture looks that way. i didnt intend for it to.
good luck with the trunk if you decide to do it.
