Quick question - Exterior Forum

Quick question

I love my cars aggressive front end but the damn liscence platei s in the way and i cant tell if the rivets are gonna make huge holes in my stock bumper if i take it off, ne one who has taken the front plate off i would appreciate some info on how u went about it and how big the holes it left were

In my case, I just put mine in the dash but I gotta pay a ticket for it though...$50, sucks. Other than that, can't help you out

im not worried about tickets, im sayen how did u actually get the plate off its in like a big black bracket and its a shame because the stock front end looks so damn nice so if any one knows how to take the bracket off the front bumper i would greatly appreciate it

Pulled it out hard as hell and also kind of pryed it out with something....it's not easy.

haha awesome i wasnt sure but i think im gonna drill out the rivets but im just scurrred it might be huge holes and i dont want it to look like a$$

It's so nice to live in a state that doesn't require a front lisence plate in addition to the rear =D

Uhhhh... Pulled really hard? What kind of car do you have? My 05 Cavalier front plate bracket just unscrewed. Remove the plate, then BAM, two screws under that and the entire bracket comes off. There is only two barely noticable holes in the front bumper afterwards.

Legally though, I believe you have to have a front and back plate. Sucks

Mine wasn't screws, it was some type of metal piece stuck in my bumper that we had to pry out.

im thinkin thats what mine is because it doesnt look like screws at all lol, so im pullin her in the garage later today and just using a ford tool

so i used my ford tool (pulled hard), lol rivets snapped 3 little holes no more front plate...... just another reason for the cops to hate me ill post pics when my digital camera is fixed
