ESPECIALLY with fiberglass and carbon fiber parts, you get what you pay for. $675 + shipping is not bad at all for a carbon fiber hood, especially at the quality you get. Check out the prices of VIS stuff once...

especially since my CF turbo sport hood dosen't fit my Z
if you get a fiberglass hood, and pay less than a carbon fiber hood... you're still going to have to get it painted. in the end, they cost almost the same. so do you want a fiberglass hood painted body color, or a carbon fiber hood?

It flat out dosen't fit. I've worked with gravanna and the owner of carbon by design and still nothing, I have been unable to get it to fit. Its like the hood binds in the middle. I've done several hoods and they have all fit fine except this one.
I've gone so far as to remove my intake, strut bar, grounding kit, rubber gromits, rubber pieces on the fenders, moved my latch and catch, tried a sunfire catch and nothing works.
As of right now my hood is a very expensive dining room wall decoration at my new house. I'm not very happy with the hood.
Cheeter, I'll take the hood if you dont want it. Chances are your car was just wrecked before and never put back right i'd say.

i had some problems getting my turbo sport hood to fit at first when i put it on my old cav. as well. i just finished putting it on my 05 and it fits on there much better. sorry to hear about your troubles Cheeter. despite his problems, i must say the quality of the hood is remarkable. the weave is flawless, the edges are perfect, an the best part about it is the functional ram air.!!!

if I take the hood latch off the hood my hood fits perfect and sits exactly where it should. If I used hood pins or locks instead of the hood latch then I would have no problem, issue is I hate hood pins and I bought the hood because it said it did not require hood pins but hey I guess I'm stuck.
And there were MULTIPLE people with this problem...
