Waxin a carbon fiber hood??????can u?

Hey wats up i had my CF hood for a while and never waxed it and doesnt look how it use to,,,does anyone kno wat i can use to polish it up or anything .... thanxz in advance....sorry if this got ask before jus wanted to kno.....

if it has a clear coat im sure you can. if not try some clay bar

wel i jus went and tried that clay bar and it kinda works but then it dries all ugly then i wash it off and look lil better... wat kinda of wax u guys us? thaxz for the reply's btw!

I use a DuPont special wax...its great...i used it last week on my hole car..including my carbon fiber hood..looks nice and shiny..my mom got it for me off qvc....lol

you clay bared it and it was drying up? u should be wiping it clean with a towel before it ever begins to dry.

try a carnuba microwax, i think eagle one and maguires both make some and they usually come with a microfiber applicator. i'm not sure how well it'll work on the carbon fiber, but it'll really make the rest of your car shine.

also try over in the maintenance forum.

well thanxz alot for the replies!!! but i asked one guy that i met this guy at my work and he had a evo wit c/f and he said his hood went dull and he jus use buffed rubbin compond and then he said wax it and it look orgasmic!!!!thaxz thought!!! and i did try that carnuba stuff from maguires and that @!#$ works really good after i did the buffing!! thats alot!!! i thought i was goin to sand it and all this other @!#$! lol thaxz guys

Wax As You Dry! JUST USE IT WHILE YOU DRY! SO EASY!

lol...seriously though, I use Meg Gold Class, I never liked Yellow 26. Mothers is great too, so silky smooth.

I use Meguiars clay bar, and then used Meguiars Next Generation Wax. It was beautiful. Had a lot of depth afterwards.
