OK, I saw a guy on the photo boards that has his headlights painted. The black plastic thats under the lens and inside the housing, on his 04 cavi. Can anyone tell me an easy way to take the lens off without cracking it? It's glued on pretty good. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Or patience, a screwdriver, and a razor. Thats how I did mine and they turned out great
amazing that that worked.....that glue was hard as plastic for me, that had to have taken an hour per light, the oven was only 15 min, including baking

i also saw that if you leave the amber covers in the oven, the round ones, that you can turn them clear, that was about 5 months ago, i think.
The plastic wasn't that hard for me. Then again, I had them sitting in direct sunlight while I was working on them, and while the other was waiting to be done. It was generally soft though. Besides, I wasn't sure if it was OK to put in the oven considering there was a small section of wire in the light, and i didn't know if it could withstand that.

take a blowtorch, and heat the lens for about 5 min, then smack the lens with a sledge hammer, that will get them apart real good
now to put them together.......ehh screw it, just duct tape flashlights to the hood.....now thats custom

No, thats not right at all MikeC! How can you give false advice like that?!
Now... What you need to do is take the headlight off, place it behind the car, and run it over going 3mph... If done properly, the case will only crack and fall off, now you can superglue it back on and together when done! Simple!
