how does carbon fiber hold up to hail compared to your basic stock metal hood
will it crack? or dent? or simply just not be harmed at all?
i know that carbon fiber doesn't dent, so little hailstones are probably ok. i would imagine that the golf ball size hail might put crack the clearcoat...

Carbon fiber when done right is stronger than steel . I just finished working on a piece for my car and the panel is only 1/16" thick and is very strong . The only thing that may happen is it may scratch but you can just buff that out .

i can only see it damaging the clear if you have it cleared
