I can't wait to get them in! I ordered the Hidynamic 9007 6000k kit. I hope I get this by the end of the week. I disabled my drl's today so everything will be ready to install when they get here.

Yeah, I wanted great light out put, not color. If that was the case I would put my nokya's back in. Yes the ballasts will be mount in a water free location lol.

just a quick q, why do you need to disable the drl's

They don't have enough power to run the hid's and will cause damage to them.

is it easy to disable DRL?
yeah it took like 10 mins to do. You just need to ground out one wire.

Why would I? HID's take LESS power to run.

When hids first power up they can consume up to 20,000 volts. Your halogen lights don't go any where close to that.

Is there a fillament in the bulb?
'REAL' HIDs dont have a fillament or 'conductor'

12V @ 5A = 60 watts, 20kV @ 3mA = 60 watts. you're not going to fry anything unless the balasts are very inefficient which would draw more power, the same 12V and 5A is going into the ballast, it just converts that to the 20kV and 3mA
have fun with those lights

Their is nothing in the bulb. So yes they are "REAL" HID's.
