Hey. I searched for a few min, and I didnt see anything so I thought I would ask.. If I have a 2001 Cavalier Z24 and I may be getting a Drift kit ( Sides and Rear ) and was wondering if it would fit if it was for 95-99 and what would have to be done to make it fit, and also how hard would it be to get a Drift front for 95-99 to fit with my headlights. Also, if this should be under newbies section Its cool if you have to move it. Im sorry, I just figured someone would know and let me know pretty quick. Thanks !
sides are the same from 95-05. rear should fit as long as you either have the tail filler panels or they come on the kit...
fitting the 95-99 front on with your 00+ headlights is pretty easy, you just trim down the bumper to make room for the headlights and corner lights. if you have a dremel or other such cutting tool, it's a breeze.
ok cool... thanks a lot, but what is a tail filler panel.. and how do I know if I have one already.. i think the Bomex Kit I have now was for a 95-99 because the head lights dont seem to fit seamlessly.. so maybe I have a kit like that now.. idk..
between your tail light and your bumper there is a small filler panel, you will see what i mean when you look at it.
ooo.. the peice on the back of the car thats beside the trunk between the rear bumper and tail light? If this is it, could I just used one of the plates off of a 95-99. Maybe the other sizes are different to account for the different bumper sizes ??
Guys, I appriciate you all helping me out like this, I feel retarded for not knowing, but I guess the only way ill know is if I ask.
yes, the part thats between the rear fender and the trunk/between the taillight and the bumper, lol. not sure about sizes between the different years tho, sry.
if you look at jazer's sig, you'll see that little piece directly between the bumper and the outter tail lights, that's the filler panel. the drift rear probably did't come with the fillers, so just use the seperate pieces that you have. they are the same size from 95-02, the rear didn't change that much.
Ok cool, Thats all I needed. Thanks a lot guys !
if i understand what yall are talkin bout- i molded mine to my rear drift bumper.
