When fiberglassing exterior parts, such as putting an induction ornimant on the hood or putting on a roof scoop, or making a wide body kit, etc. How many layers of fiberglass should be used to be safe and not have parts fly off when traveling down the highway at 90mph?
Or is there another secret to the trade?

fiberglassing is not something you just pick up. start small like glassing together to things then work your way up. keep adding resin and mat to form layers. for something on the outside i would say 6-7 layers to make it as durable as possible. for interior stuff you can do 3-4 layers
