Well, after 2 bodyshops, they still can't align my import fighter rear bumper properly without there being waves in it by the trunk. Here is a picture.
now mind you, this picture doesn't do justice and actually looks worse in person. Anyone have any ideas fitting this thing? to make it work, you really have to bend the sides in because this bumper supposedly flares out a lot. What have people done to make it fit? Obviously i want it to fit like this, but i can't find anybody who is able to, what do you guys recommend?
i see waves in their bumper also
you need to make L-brackets to push up on the dips in the waves
get a long metal strip (have the edges bent to provide structural stength) and drill holes in it where the bolts go through the bumper, it will stop the sags.

DIY Clear 03+ Headlights
I have that kit and i used that foam that expands. All i did was spray some of it on the frame of the back and let it dry. Then cut what i needed off and now it doesn't sag. That stuff has been solid for 2 years now.

I lifted up the lip while it was mounted... loaded it up with some liquid nails- construction adhesive...
Rolled a towel up, and slammed the trunk lid on it... Let it set up overnight, and the lumps are gone...
Been like that for at least 2 years.

thanks for the ideas guys....gonna give it a try
I hate to bring this back from the dead, but maybe this can add to the thread. Has anyone who installed this rear had to trim the crush guard? I swear this bumper is about half an inch too short. Can't stretch it enough to catch the brackets on the rear wheel wells. I know this is pretty standard for other kits, just not sure if this is common with the IF kit.
Thanks

wish i remembered when i had mine. im sure i kept mine on. maybe your catching something.
Which crush guard do you have? foam or plastic?
I used l brackets but still has a lil wave in it.
Plastic gaurd, I have a rs vert, not a z. I wonder if the guard is different.

the only difference from the base bumper to the z bumper is the lower lip area. foam is the same.
There isn't foam on a 95-99 base bumper support, It is the plastic crush guard.

This was it! I just cut back the crush guard on either side of the license plate back one square, perfect. It makes a lot of sense when you look at the stock bumper vs the IF bumper. Thanks!

Crush guard absolutely needs to be trimmed. RK literature even says it. This is why the waves. If you don't properly trim the guard, you're pulling the ends in and the middle of the bumper is trying to push out. This forces the waves. It's not a sagging issue at all. I just did mine with trial and error. I would trim, test fit, trim again. Eventually, you'll get it to fit right.
