Do you guys think that a true fire paint job would look nice on a 2001 Stock Sunfire Gt Black? (keeping in mind rims will follow soon after) And also do you guys think it weird for a girl to get that type of paint job?
Yeah those are the ones I'm talkin about, they are the ones Mike Lavllee does and they cost a few thousand to do.

I don't see how your gender matters. Just because you're a girl doesn't mean you need a feminine car. Rock those flames!!
Yup that's his work, if you want to see more of his work go to

I really want to get some work like that done, but I'm not sure if it well suit the car? And it's really upsetting me because everyone keeps saying even if it does suit the car it will be weird seeing a girl driving such a butch looking car. In my opinion I think it will look beautiful on my car, and sure it might be butch but I don't care about that I think the body work is amazing and I love cars and thats all that matters to me. So what do the rest of guys think? All opionions welcome good or bad.
I'd rather see a chic in a "butch" car then a girly pink one.
I see your from canada. I post on the fordtruckworld.com site a lot and there is a guy on there from canada, don't know what part, that does some truely awesome airbrush work. His screen name is cdnratfink on the site if you want to check some of his work out. Some stuff he has posted has amazed me, I don't know if he has done any real fire or not. Some people just have way more talent then me, but I would like to get an airbrush soon to start messing around with.

Autobody/ paint
Do it!!!! A girl in a sweet ride is HOT!!! Why in the hell would it be butch????
Cool, I thought I was the only one who wanted to flame their J(especially in Canada). I'm doing True Fire on my Cavalier. It's a Black 97.
I can't afford to pay Mike Lavallee to fly up here to do it so I'm doing it myself. Should be fun.
I have a photshop pic to show you what it'd look like but I don't have a pic host.
I think it would be great. Just hope your pockets are deep enough tho cause that aint cheep.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Let's try ths,
I had someone PS the fire for me. This is just to get the idea. I'd probably go a bit heavier on the flames...
thats cool as hell. i like that. yes, just a bit more on the flames.

I can't wait to get it done, but I need some more practice. My flames still look too "structured" rather than free flowing.
I'm getting better every time though.
well i wish you luck. that is going to be one hell of a project, but one hell of a difference.

GORGEOUS. I want. Rock the flame job!!!
I may not be the sharpest crayon in the box, but at least I'm a pretty color
THOSE FLAMES ARE AWESOME.....you should get some going up your hood too......
FOR SALE: (5) '95-'99 Z24 Rims
Airbrushed realistic flames are awesome, I am designing my true ghost flame-dragons for my car(not sure if I am going to do the painting or a reputable company, so I get a warranty or something.).
I think it is going to look awesome, I have always liked the way realistic fire looks on auto paint, don't get me wrong classic strip-flames are cool also(ghost flames look the best IMO)
I've seen Lavallee's work in person. One of the small perks about having a bro-in-law that lives in the same town Lavallee works out of. Black F-150. Followed that truck for several miles on I-5 couple of weeks back. Sorry folks, no pics, cause no passenger that day to take 'em.
I'll have to agree with everyone else and say get 'em. You will not be disappointed as long as they're done right.
Well, I just bought a 96 Talon with very bad paint condition.
I will start prepping it for prime and base next week.
But I will be attempting true flame on it, hehe I hope it is as easy as I think it is.
