Wednesday, July 27, 2005 1:22 PM
I got a 95-99 drift rear bumper. it is the Extreme Dimesnions kit. and i put it on and between the trunk and the bumper, i got a sag. Its pretty big.
I've heard of things called "L" brackets on the crush gaurd and other things, but honestly, what do i do ??????????????????????

All i did was install the sides on and the top doesnt fit right to the trunk.

PLEASE HELP!

you have to make an "L" bracket that mounts to the car right below the trunk that the bumper sits on. Soundspeed Sports used to have a pic on their site--maybe you can e-mail them.

you can do the L brackets, or a guy i know took a piece of steel, and epoxy'd it on the underside all the way across to hold it flat. for that method, get the piece of steel, or even wood possibly, apply epoxy, and get a strait board on top of the bumper, and C-clamp em together, so its like a sandwich with the bumper in the middle. let it dry, unclamp, and remove top piece. should be ok

what little pieces?.. mine was sagging then i made brackets and it was a hell of a deal when i made the brackets it bent the kit obviously not a great fit.. so i just had it screwed down onto some brackets and fiberglassed over and built up to where it should be .. its in the shop getting this done as we speak.. my first rear bumper they just screwed the damn thing down and painted over the screws

the filler plates??? since you have a 00+ you can either cut off the pieces from your stock bumper and attach those. or you go to a junkyard and pick up a pair from a 95-99 cavi. they were seperate from the bumper those years. i'd recommend that latter.
