Body panel Sticking out.
Tuesday, August 02, 2005 12:31 PM
I have a 2 door 2004 Cavalier. The metal body panel above the rear triangle mirror is starting to poke out at the bottom. I ripped the inside of the car out trying to find a way to access this panel but there is nothing.

Is it glued on or bolted or clips? I don't want to take it to a shop to get fixed if i can do it myself it is just turning into a huge pain. If anyone knows how that small panel sticks on i would greatly appreciate it.

I don't need no stinking SIG. Wait this is one.
DOH!

Where is the rear triangle mirror? I have an 03 and all I can find are the 2 side mirrors and the rear view mirror.

Ah geez. i meant the rear triangle glass piece.the part that goes from the roof to the rear quarter panel, is the piece of metal that is poking out.

Metal body panel above the 1/4 glass? As in the roof? B pillar? C pillar?

I think he means the C-Pillar.
It's just clips I think? but I'm not positive.

The one directly above the quarter glass that connects the rook to the rear quarter area. It is btween the rear windsheild and the rear quarter window about 20 inches long and 2 inches wide. Thinking it is the C-pillar. I ripped my car apart and saw no clips or anyway to access the back side of the panel from the inside of the car.

Any help would be appreciated. Sorry no pics.

stab in the dark here since you've got nowhere so far...

I would get some 3m doublesided tape and go to town, and get that sucker stuck back on, good luck
