now i'm not sure if i'm correct on the year but i believe it was a 2003 or 04 i saw this one it had hood hydraulic lifters on it and no hood prop, i was wondering how hard would it be to convert that down to a 2000 cavy.

They work for all 95-05 sunfire/cavalier. I love these things... and so does my mechanic! They are around $50.

So do these lift the hood on four corners or how do they work?

Would these be too strong for a fiberglass hood? I mean would they make the hood flex when closing. I am looking for a set for my split hood each half is about 7lbs

These suckers are strong! I have them on the OEM hood, and if you lift it up like 2 feet, it will open the rest the way by itself. Recently I had to take one strut off to fix something on the hood itself and the other strut held up the entire hood. I think it might be too strong for fiberglass, unless you reinforce the section where it will be secured to.

If anyone gets these going on the trunk then let me know! That would be cool!

Damn, Jay that's a Hell of a good idea!

Someone (not me) needs to try it. I'm willing to throw in 5 bucks to the winner. Maybe if we collect a "bounty" someone will get us the measurements, etc.

I'm not what you would call a "pathfinder" when it comes to this kinda thing...

I'll trow in $10 on top of your $5. I am sure that someone already tried (and failed) or just keeping quiet about it. This would be SICK!
