I wash it from the top to the bottom that way you work on getting all the dirt down and you don't mess up any other clean areas.
1)roof
2) sides
3)rear
4)front
Just follow the instructions on the bottle and I find that if you put a little soap on the wash cloth it helps foam up the soap so it makes it work better.
i got that much i mean its not brain surgery washing a car its just i always have bugs in my grille and like water droplets on my car and dirt on my car near the bottom. i just want that professional shine.

I use a califonia blade to dry my car, then do a spray wax. the spray wax gets rid of the remaining water spots.
Soap, lather, rinse and repeat

you have to dry the car and not just drive off when your done or else your going to get water spots.
I just go to a manual jetstream carwash. Use F21 tire and rim cleaner. Use the rinse, wash, wax, "spot free" on the car and what not and spray everything from the top down. Then I wipe the rims with rags for an uber shine. Let it dry for a few minutes, then drive it around to dry the rest. Wham, shiny
- I start cleaning the front bumper, lights and hood (to remove those nice little bugs
)
- I clean the whole car with water, changing towel so I don't put any dirts when there wasn't
- Then once the car is all cleaned up, I use some Armor All car soap with water and I clean parts of the car (I wash the top parts first, then shoot some water to get the remaining soap off)
- I dry the car and make sure that there's no remaining water that will slide on the car and ruin my work
- I let it dry, then I clean the windows, lights, mirrors and the rims
That's pretty much about it....
Here's a pic of the finished work (didn't have the rims yet on this one)
I have a little bug remover that works SOOOO well, its from Canadian Tire, basically a sponge with a soft mesh overtop of it. I hose the car down, use that with soap on the bumper/hood to get all the bugs off. Then rinse it off and then youre set to get started on the car.
Like everyone said, work top down, also wash in the
SHADE. Wash with clean mits/chamois, for obvious reasons. The enemy when washing your car is waterspots, don't just 'drive and let them dry', go over the each body panel you finish washing with soap/water with the chamois, and then once again when you're completely finished washing to get the little runs. Park on a hill to let the water run (if there is a hill nearby), and just wipe the little drops as they come. Park in the shade and you're done.
Don't forget to wax/clay bar for the best shine.
i went to the car wash on my break and i:
1.pre rinsed
2.used tire cleaner on the entire car.
3.soaped
4.rinsed
5.waxed
all together cost 3.50 i believe and it looks great.

There is a reason why they call it
tire cleaner.

use a synthetic chamois for drying and keep it clean. Water blades scare me! Also look into getting a clay bar. I also like the mothers california gold bar. I couldn't believe how much crud it removed from the paint.
i always use a lil Blue Corral with Wax. after washing, i use the blade, which is incredible. if there is any other spots, i use the Absorber. for bugs, and tar (eeeeek) i use a lil thing made by Turtle Wax, its called "Bug and Tar Remover" Goooood stuff. Thats how to get that perfect shine.
theres a couple tricks i always use, dont EVER EVER spray tire shine on your car outside, it goes EVERYWHERE, nomatter if you see it that moment or not, it does, i always wash my car in the cool, never in sun.
dry it, then i use a special glaze, (like a wax) take that off then i wax the car to hold the shine. when i let the wax dry, i spray tireshine, that way, it goes onto the wax, not the car, then i take off the wax, and clean the windows...... thats the secret 4 sure....
i use all industrial stuff from a company called Car Clean, im not sure if they are nationwide, but im sure you can find comparable stuff.
if you have access to an airhose, i hose my carpets down with a degreaser, scrub them, then blow them out with an airhose..... then vaccum them out to make pretty lines................
spray window cleaner in the cracks of your dash, radio, vents, then blow them out with an airhose, takes all the dust out.......
never use bug and tar remover.....it stains, leaves marks, whether you see it now or not........use degreaser and water......
wax your rims...
