i guess you could put it back on the same way it was on in the first place. just use double stick tape. i assume anyway. good luck

Yes, you will definitely be able to re-install them if you're not happy with how it looks. You can use a couple of things; double sided tape, emblem adhesive, etc. Your best bet would be double sided tape though because the emblem adhesive is basically glue and would be much harder to get off than double sided tape.

There is a pretty good chance it won't be faded though. I took the mouldings off my 1994 Sunbird LE Sedan less than two years ago and it wasn't faded. I also took the mouldings off my mom's 1998 Sunfire Sedan around the same time and it wasn't faded either. Make sure you wash and wax the car when you're done taking them off. Good luck.

Use double sided tape. The emblem adhesive can eat into the paint, especially fresh stuff, and removal of it from the paint will be hard if you even can.

removing the side moldings and emblems:

use a hair dryer and 3M Adhesive and Wax Remover. that stuff works wonders.

putting them back on if your paint is faded or messed up:

3M Plastic Emblem & Trim Adhesive for the emblems and 3M double sided tape for the side moldings.

as for how much it's faded, that's anybody's guess. just take the stuff off and see for yourself.
