First let me say, this is not the car in my sig! I sold that one to build this.
For those who don't know my new car yet. I've got one hell of a motor set-up. It is a 2.3 High Output with a monster turbocharger, nitrous and alcohol injection on a soon-to-be built bottom end. The goal with this motor is to hit the 400hp mark on pump gas at 10 psi and 450 with race gas at 15 psi... both with stock 10:1 compression.
We're looking to hit low 12s in street trim and high 11s with the slicks and leaded gas.
This is going to be a fun car!
It is a 96, but I've got a complete 2003 front swap with an OE carbon hood and a stock base model front bumper with the grill cut out to expose the front mount. The side skirts are LS sport skirts and the rear has an LS sport lip. I don't like the LS sport front lip and it sits even with the sides without it. The handles are going to be shaved really soon and for now I am going to be using a carbon RK sport bezel with tinted 2000+ taillights. I will get a carbon trunk when more funds are available. There are also no side moldings.
That is pretty much it for the body work.
Since this is going to be such a fun car.. I can't decide whether I want to still paint it glossy black and be as stealthy as possible........ or hot pink.
You probably are wondering what the hell is wrong with me on that one. I'm not gay... I'm very comfortable with my sexuality. Those who know me might even say it would suit me.
I wanted to paint it pink to blow everyone's day. How blown would you be if you were driving down the street in your daddy's STI and pulled up at the light next to a hot pink cavalier. Of course it looks modified slightly and hot pink was never srock color. You rev your engine. I rev mine. You hear nothing through the stock exhaust and the blow off barely opens enough to hear-it's probably just something wrong with the engine.
Now you want to show off.... why not? It's a cavalier.... you'll dust me when the light turns green.
I flip the switches all up on the little carbon fiber panel in the dash. MSD high octance fuel curve, alcohol injection, the nitrous spool shot, 10 psi (boost controller), 3000 rpm launch rev limiter......
The light for crossing traffic turns yellow. I open up the 3" exhaust cut out after my down pipe before the stock exhaust. Hold the pedal to the floor and drop the spec stage 4 clutch at green. Your daddy's STI never had a chance.
Again... how blown would you be to get smoked by a hot pink cavalier?
So....... what color should I go with?

yea but if you paint it pink, ur still gonna get made fun of for driving a pink car and thats all the more reason for them to keep tellin' u drive a girls car. on the other hand though its still a pink car that they lost to. to me i would paint it a different color.
That would be f'in great to see an STI lose to a hot pink cavy. Do it, I dare ya.
how about a purple, it doesnt seem so gay... like a deep purple. Burgandy or something of the sort. But hot pink screams fruit basket

around where I live theres alot of pink cars. everyone loves them. It all started with this guy who painted his integra pink, at first everyone thought it was gay, then after like a month everyone loved it, very uncommon. now theres a hot pink accord, and a celica, and they both look great. hot pink was also gonna be my color, but i decided against it since I know the guys who drive pink cars, and they would have said that im a copycat. IMO you should, and trust me, chicks love and I mean LOVE pink cars, they think theyre "cute" and they all wanna ride in them.
I would go with obnoxious marking paint orange.....I havent seen that in a while but is has to be flat no gloss. lol
go with pink and put on the plates (it's hers)

go with the pink, and a pink and black interior. if done right (which by the sounds of what you have done so far, you can handle it), it will look awesome
I think pink is hot for a chick's tuner car but for a guy I dunno. I would go with something different.

not really my boy had a hot pink civic with accord headlight converson and corvette taillight converson and he won tons of shows and people loved it but he solded it and got $10,000 for it

I 'm not going to two tone it. It will have a carbon hood and trunk. For now it is just going to have a painted trunk with the RK carbon bezel on the back. I'm glad to see such a response that isn't littered with "uber gehzors."
I'm not going to go with purple. I think the dark purple cavs look alright, but a lot of cars come with that color stock. I was originally going to paint imy car orange pearl way before the new cavs came out in 2003 with the orange stock colors. I either want my car to be stealth as hell, or as out there as possible. The look on other people's faces is going ot be so rewarding.

^^^^I've done it before and my friend Joe has with his truck. They only ever said anything to him. He gave them his second remote so that if anything happened they could pop his door open. But usually it goes the same way as bags. As long as you don't say that you have bags, usually nobody notices.

dude go with pink im all about it im actually paintin my cavy pink with ghost flames.
I hate blue......... I don't like red cars, yellow cars, green cars...... pretty much just silver, black and orange..... Pink I can do too.... and it would be funny...
Plus I'm a body man so I could just go and re-paint it black.......... engine bay and jams are staying black anyway.
