they need to die a slow painful death...and that goes for the guys at tyc and apc who kept them...i pulled 4 bolts out of my old apc tails when taking them off the car and 4 out of my new tyc's...i mean how hard is it to have a normal bolt and nut to hold the tails on
that is all for my rant today...for now
If I'm weird and everyone else is weird, does that make me normal?

How tight were they on there? You're talking about those thin speed nuts right? I've taken off my tails and clear corners plenty of times and nothing ever broke.
well i had them on tight cause when they were loose they bounced around...im sure that why but still...lame

2nd gens need them to hold on corner lights....they suck, IMO! You either spend a couple minutes slowly spinning it on backwards until you feel it drop into the groove and then tighten it, or you just go and do it and after 2-3 times you basically strip the stud!
the plastic nuts .. yeah, they are garbage.
on another note.. the toyo tails have metal ones on the outers.

i put it on with a ratchet with no problems, just dont overtighten or you'll crack the lens

yeah they are @!#$, oh well
Yeah actual bolts and stuff would have been much better...
The nuts with rubber in them. I guess they are used for vibration dampening. I've never had a problem.
