Hi, I live in Florida and I was just wondering if is illegal ?
I need a new sig =(
Most anytime you touch the lights, especially when you make them darker is going to be illegal everywhere.
I've gotten pulled over specifically for my spray tinted tails but didn't get a ticket for them. Also got pulled over for other things and the cop never said anything. In short it's going to very cop to cop if they want to hassle you or not.
y would you want to make your headlights darker? just buy black headlights

Tinting your lights is not illegal. That's why you can buy dark covers for them.

You can buy allot of things that are not legal to use on the road , just because an after market company makes something for your car does not mean it's legal , tinting your lights or tinted covers on the headlights or taillights is not legal at night time in just about any state .

From Florida Vehicle Code, Title XXIII
316.220 Headlamps on motor vehicles.--
(1) Every motor vehicle shall be equipped with at least two headlamps with at least one on each side of the front of the motor vehicle, which headlamps shall comply with the requirements and limitations set forth in this chapter, and shall show a white light. An object, material, or covering that alters the headlamp's light color may not be placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied over a headlamp.
As a tangent, while looking though the Code I found this law that just struck me as odd:
316.2024 Coasting prohibited.--The driver of any motor vehicle, when traveling upon a downgrade, shall not coast with the gears or transmission of such vehicle in neutral or the clutch disengaged. A violation of this section is a noncriminal traffic infraction, punishable as a moving violation as provided in chapter 318.
Florida Laws
Coasting is illegal in most all places, you do not have as much control of the vehicle if it's out of gear.
