i need to know this too. I don't know if paint thinner or acetone will harm the plastic tail lights...

well 8 or 9 hours of sanding with 1000 grit wet sand paper, all the paint is gone LOL (i have an 04 cav, I also painted the center bezel..)

now, is there a way to get the shine back? I was thinking about getting some rubbing compound, or try buffing them or something. I want to get them as nice as possible before putting any kind of paint on them again..

Thanks for any help!
