Well I just took the stock toyo harness and cut off the corner light, and spliced it onto the stock socket harness and it works fine without any third wire.
The corner yellow light should be a running light correct? Then the red light on the corner is break/turn signal, then of course the reverse. Is there some other way these are supposed to function other than that?
Or are the yellows supposed to be turn signals and the breaks are running lights and are supposed to have two filiments in the bulbs. I dont know Im confused, can someone help me?

Close. But the turn signal should be the amber part and the tail and brake are the red part.
You need to seperate the turn signal signal from thr tail and brake light signal. There are a couple diagrams on here about how to do it or you can just jump from the front turn signals to the rear. The brake light signal can be picked up from the third brake light and the marker stays the same.
If you do a google search of Toyota Cavaliers you'll find the Toyota Cavaliers home page and it gives you instructions and wire colors as to what you need to cut and splice.
Good luck.
