you cant get an estimate here online. every shop charges differently. someone may pay 1500 for a paint job where someone else could pay 1800 for the same paint job. it also depends on what you want painted. do you plan the inside of the trunk, doors jambs and all the other little spots? a good paint job roughly will cost about 1500-1700 depending on what paint and and how much preping they have to do

you get what ya pat for bottom line
i personally charge 25 an hour, 25 paint labor, remove everything even the window mouldings i mean everything that is the correct way to paint a car i don`t like to have paint lines no where on the car that`s just me
if the car will be a color change then your talkin more labor time to remove all sheet metal, ect.....ect.....ect.............$2,000 that`s my starting price for a color change
and no you really can`t get a online price with out someone seeing the car and writing out the estimate

you want it to look nice and last you will pay for that you want the car painted by macco it will look like some one painted it at macco
what i do for a living is not easy work and labor is not cheap at least here it`s not

can i haz bondo

I went to shop once...well a body shop (not a paint shop) and I inquired about getting my car painted from the "Department of Transportation" yellow that it is now to the screaming yellow metallic that is featured on the +2003 Ford Mustangs and I was quoted at $4,500 myself. However that price included stripping the old paint off of every painted surface and painting everything on the car and taking stuff apart that needs to be taken apart in order for it to be painted.

One more thing...

The "you get what you pay for line" is so true. I hear too many commericals at work for paint shops (like Peaches) that advertise getting an entire car painted for like $139...but if you pay that price to have your entire car painted...don't expect the product they use to be any good or the results to last too long.

I got my cavalier painted from the Stock black to Championship White and for me to get the car painted, minus the door jambs and underhood and so on it was $1500. The paint looks absolutly amazing, still after 3 years, it has held up really well. The only draw back, is the colour was custom mixed, so if my car is ever in an accident It might be a hard colour to match!
