You know those glossy black covers on the edge of the door that cover the weather stripping? (The ones that cover the pillar closest to the rear of the car on the passenger and driver door) They are starting to fade and peel on my 02 cavy. I was just going to take them off to paint them, but they feel like they're gonna snap if I pull 'em too hard. Is there an easy way to take them off? Second, since the glossy coat is peeling, should I use aircraft paint stripper to remove so it's flush? Any suggestions would be helpful.

roll down your windows and kinda pull back the weather stripping. you should see three screws holding it in place. remove those and it should come off easily.
since the pillar covers are made of plastic, using something like aircraft sripper will completely destroy the cover. just sand it smooth and paint.
Awesome, thanks.
