I have a spoiler to install....i just wanted to know if anyone can tell me how to do this right. when i take the stock spoiler off, there will be holes left on the trunk. im thinking of using bondo fiber glass mat with resin to cover it up.
have a shop weld the holes... bondo filler will dent in or crack.
7 months without a date and counting

another idea... probably cheaper is to find a stock lid with no holes... theres quite a few

well it depends on what spoiler it is. some use the stock hardware.
as said above, get a shop to weld the holes closed if the spoiler isnt going to re-use the stock holes. bondo is not made for filling in holes, its made to take out small imperfections in body work.
just take liitle tiny piece os somethind and JB weld it on hahaha, seriously though if noones gonna see ti @!#$in, rough up the paint around the hole a bit and JBweld should hold, thats prolly your cheapest option
I appreciate the advice ppl thanks.
well i was in exactly the same situation i called many bodyshops asking for advice basically most of them told me to not weld in those holes. the metal on ur trunk is very thin and that u could warp the trunk lid. i just used that bondo fiberglass stuff and i did my keyhole while i was at it. it came out great just alot of sanding needs to be done. i also put thin pieces of sheet metal behind all of the holes before i put the bondo in. its been fine for about 3 months now no cracks or n e thing i posted pics a while back in the photos and media forum if u wanna c it

it will crack out trust me. w/ the change in temps it will flex and crack. any decent body shop will know how to weld it closed. all you need is a thin gage metal like 16 or 18 gage
