curious on what to do for type j fitment

i was curious about the fitment on the type j, i know its urethane and the fitment is great but i was wondering more so about the styrofoam piece for the front and rear bumper and if i have to totally remove it or if i can just trim it and for you guys and the usual sagging of the rear bumper what is it that you suggest doing for the "L" brackets instead of welding them onto the car

does anyone search anymore??

yes the crush guard has to be trimmed, how far is up to you. as for the L brackets, you pretty much just fasten them to the bar and the bumper sit on top of it to hold it up. no weldin' involved

the rear has to be cut a lot but you need to have it on there or your rear will not fit at all and will sag down almost to the ground. The front, I don't know if the crush guard does anything. I never had one so mine just isn't there. I don't have a sagging problem at all on mine.

if you got pics it would be greatly appreciated as i will just save them to my comp and then i wont have anymore questions

its pretty easy. you have the L bracket and you have the support bar. put the L bracket on upside down so its flush w/ the support bar and flat on the top. kinda like a 7. then when you put the bumper on the top of the L bracket is stickin' out so the bumper can rest on it. its really easy

2k+ doesn't use styrofoam, you have this PITA honey comb looking @!#$.

I had to trim the bottom piece of the the front off, you'll notice there's a top and bottom....for the rear I had to shave around 3" off of the whole thing if I recall. I used a saw, but there are way more efficient ways. Never remove them though.

Guess I should have posted that I had the Type-J BTW.
