ok, im thinking about getting rid of the cf pro-stock, and the cf tail bezel and getting a cf trunk lid with no spoiler.
and i read every post from searches, but everyone says something different.
now i know JSP had one with a shaved lock, and i think it was class glass who had the shaved inners or moulded spoiler. i would preferably like the moulded spoiler and shaved inners/lock. but some say JSP is crap, some say its good. some say Class glass is crap, and others say its good. and Vis, well, they seem to have great quality all around, but have them with nothing shaved , etc.
basically, from those with actual knowledge of these products, what do you guys think? i dont want your opinion if you have no experience with these brands. any input is appreciated.
i don't think class glass is making cf products anymore... my lid is VIS... it's a quality piece. nothing is shaved on it though if that's what you are going for.
^^^id prefer shaved, but ill take what i can get. i emailed JSP and ClassGlass about them. are you going spoilerless with the cf lid???
You could get a Class Glass shaved trunklid, keep your prostock spoiler, attach it and mold it to the new trunk lid, and then see if you could find a company that would re-wrap the outside of the lid with the spoiler on it...?
While I personally wouldn't trust a movable (and in this case, slammable) aspect of the car to be moded with FG, if the whole outside was re-wrapped, then it would have enough strength to not crack over time...
BTW, if you're not overly concerned with the underside of the lig, you could just get a FG lid and wrap that...it would save you some $$$
Be carefull & Make sure you don't have anything valuable in your trunk.
Because that trunk lid can be literally ripped right off of the car & all your
Trunk Audio stolen. Seen it happen before to QBE.

^^^ya, i remember that. that would suck. but the car will be in the garage when im not driving it. and i plan to install a security system in the garage also.
i just got a email back from JSP, and i didnt realize they were located here inmy town, lol. i may try and see if i can get something custom done by them.
hey eazy, i you are selling your CF prostock i know someone who will buy it from you undoubtedly, him me up with a IM, PM, or email
how much for the cf bezel?
navycav, i have an offer of $350 on it. so if he can beat it its his.
Brandon, shoot me a PM about it.
i asked class glass last week, they make cf for racing only and put a black gelcoat on it so you cant see the weave
^^^i actually just got an email back saying the same thing.... that sux. i was loving the moulded spoiler and all shaved.
well, the plan may have changed. ive been calling around all day trying to find a place around me that does custom cf work, and my buddy has a friend who may help me out.
the possible new plan is to have the whole, and i do mean whole interior covered in carbon fiber. im gonna go see him beginning of next week to work things out.. this should be interesting

Actually i have emailed CGP and they said anything they make in fiberglass they can make in c/f.. but for c/f ur lookin at $400 more.. the trunklid i plan on gettin is around 780 or so.. so they do make bolt on ones..
ya. i think im gonna ditch the cf trunk lid idea for the moment. im sure this interior is gonna cost me $1000+ not to mention my rims will run around $1800. so ill hold off.
only crappy part is i already sold the cf pro-stock since i thought i was going cf lid. oh well, i guess the interior will make up for it, lol
JSP will NOT make a custom piece.. ive been trying for a long time now...
regardless, JSP does make good quality stuff, ive bought lots from them, im impressed

spolierless for the moment although i may have an idea for a spoiler... but i'm not gonna say anything till i either ditch the idea or get it done.
Here's a strange thought, but why don't you just smooth the factory deck lid and have it wrapped? If you only want the look and don't care about weight savings, you can do it and still have structural rigidity, and less cost.

^^thought about that, and may do it, but i wanna see about this interior first.
ps - Coma, JSP told me they would do custom stuff for me since they're in my town, but thats not who im going thru. alos, JSP told me they would show me how to lay CF too
