I saw one in person when I had went to get my IF rear, I don't have any pics, but his hood was absolutely amazing in terms of quality. Yes it was the ViS Invader...the edges were rolled, and in the front the CF went a good 10" in on the underside.

As said no pics, but I was HIGHLY impressed.

I ordered the VIS from a guy on ebay....yea im cheap.

Also, are you guys running any hood pins. Lat couple cf hoods i have had were flimsy as hell and bounced all over the place. I did not want to dive iver 75mph!

It's all good. But yeah, about the pins....I'm not currently using any, as I was told
that my hood was strong enough that it didn't really need them. It does bounce a
little on the highway, but I have driven it to 2 Bashes already, & no bad luck yet?
(knock on wood) lol. I guess you should really look at the structural integrity of
yours when you receive it & then decide from there. Hope I helped answer your
?'s Thanks.

I am going to be ordering a vis cf invader hood for my 98 sunfire sedan sometime this month or next, and i was wondering if you take your black rubber weather stripping off of your oem hood and reinstall on the cf hood? and if so how does the weather stripping attach to the new cf hood on the underside; and if you dont reuse the weather stripping from the oem hood; wont you get water under the hood?
thanks.

Also, about the opening in the hood that allows hot air to escape ; this is functional, so what happens when it rains, would there not be tons of water getting under the hood throght this vent, that cant be good, what do you do about this?

The weather stripping is atatched to the frame, & thus, it does not come off when
you remove the stock hood. It stays on the car's frame. So you will only be removing
the hood latch from your old hood. That is the only part that needs to be removed
from the stock hood & tranferred over.

My hood has a drain incorporated into the vent that catches most of the water.
The remaning water that does go through the vent is a very minor amount, & is
not harmful to the engine because it falls mostly short of even hitting the engine.

Hope that helps you. Thanks.

I dont know but this is just me haven't any of you wasn't your engine bay? the only thing bad would be is it it gets INTO the engine threw the filter and if your that conserned yo can but a bypass on the intake pipe. Am i right? correct if im wrong.

Thanks alot man, you did help me out foresure.
The black rubber stripping i was talking about was the two pieces , one on each side of the hood that looks to be attached with some sort of staple or clip to the underside of the oem hood by the headlights when the hood is closed; maby its so the hood does not damage the lights or what not when the hood is fully closed; sorry i should not have called it weather stripping; my bad, sorry.
So does the vis invader hood come with some sort of drain tray to catch water ? or is this something you can have rigged up?
I thought this hood came with a hood latch; so you have to use your latch and the plate latch type up by the windshield off your oem hood?
Thanks fellows.

you use the catch from the facory hood and the factory hinges. you have to unbolt both from the stock hood (although the hinges will be bolted to the chassis so just unbolt the hood from them)

What catch from the factory hood? what is the catch? hood latch, does that come with the hood, or do you use that from your oem hood as well?
thanks again......

So those of you with the vis cf invader hood on a sunfire; did some sort od catch tray for water come with the hood , and if so; does it attach somehow under the opeing in the hood?
What oem hood parts do you need to switch over to the new cf invader hood?
Thanks very much.......
