paint problem
Friday, January 27, 2006 8:34 PM
Well i removed my side moldings and as i thought my car was repainted on the drivers side and when i removed the molding the adheise reacted to the clear coat and it torn it up and messed it up alot. So at my auto body class i was just goin to wet sand it down smooth then reclear it. Well at 2 different spots i sanded down the the primer. Now Can i just get some repair paint at like Wally world and fix it up then reclear it or do i have to repaint it? My teacher wants me to repain the entire side of the car for just 2 2 inch sports

@!#$ NO!!! Do it the right way, like he's telling you. Youll have to repaint the whole door and maybe blend into the joining panels so it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb.

Before you repaint it, why dont you do all the body work on the car? Thus, giving you the chance to fully repaint a vehicle. I did it like 10 times when I was in school. Id make reasons to paint my car or other cars...but then again I dont really like painting @!#$
