I NEED SERIOUS HELP ASAP!!!

OK I tried to post this a few months back with no reply. I really need help now, and hoping someone here will help me with this. For those who don't know I have a 2004 Cavalier, last year I did a '99 conversion on it. Well My problem are the headlights. Here is the basis of whats happening:

Day time running lights don't exist half the time.
Low beams have turned into day time running lights.
High beams are a mix of low beams and high and are the only visible light I can use at night.
If I don't have my high beams on, most of the time the service light will come on.

Now it's 'been fixed' before by several different people from body shops to the dealership. No one has really done much to fix it. Apparently the wiring and the harness have been fixed, bulbs replaced etc. Im really getting sick of dealing with the people flashing high beams and being worried I'm gonna get pulled over. Right now I seriously think its the wiring harness we put in from the '99 I half traded front ends with. Once Im not busy and it gets a little warmer Im gonna rip some things apart and try to fix it.

My question is, does anyone know or think they know what might be the problem? Or has anyone done a conversion and had this problem?

I'd like to have every option to fix available when I attempt to fix this problem as possible. I greatly appreciate any help. I can provide pictures of all levels of light if needed. Thanks again to whoever gives suggestions!

get the wiring diagram for the headlight circuit on a 99 and fallow it exactly and it will work.

and by the way if DRL's are doing funny thnings diable them, its as simple as cuting a wire and grounding it

Thanks, will do. Hope all this works, if not Im seriously gonna kick the car. It's got enough problems without the headlights being messed up! I'll let you know how it goes.
