Well, in all reality the choice is yours regardless what we say here. But black is the perfered color, since it wont look dirty from brake dust.
HOWEVER, if your going for the shows, Grind off the Letters and numbers off the caliper, Sand smooth then polish. Finish with a high temp clear coat to keep the polish look for a long time.
black, red, or aluminum paint would look good IMO
I would prolly black them out or match the green of the car. unless your going to have some other accent color it might look good to match the calipers to the accent color you choose. I think that I am going with red on mine to go with the other re accents on my black cavy... I would really love to just by a big brake setup all the way around and I wouldnt have to worry about paint or stopping
2001 chevy cavy z24... Aem intake fed by hood scoop.. and exhaust... hopefully more to come soon

that's what I'm looking at doing, but I might just have to settle with painting my calipers for now.

I wouldn't paint them any color other than black if I were you. Looks kinda silly to me when the front calipers are painted red or something and you have drums in the rear. But if you happen to have swapped in rear disks or are planning on it then nevermind me.
I'm glad someone else has a green z24... I have yellow brake caliper paint but I don't know how it would look, especially since I hardly ever get time to wash my car. Maybe I'll go black with them... Though the guy I bought my c/f hood from had the same color car, but with yellow stripes/seats/calipers and he painted the lettering on his tires yellow and since they were bold letters it looked pretty good.
While were on the topic of colour ill ask. Would yellow be good for my yellow cavy?
I got mines painted black...looks clean and better than rusted
as for a Z24...In my opinion...I rather aluminum...to match the Z24 wheels...thats just me.

i painted my drums black and wirebushed my calipers up front (and try to just keep em clean)
has anyone polished them and used a high temp clear? how did it last?
my opinion on stock brakes is paint them black. they should not be any other color but black if they are stock. thats only my opinion. i dont see why someone would wanna draw attention to stock brakes
