Last year I bought an LS lip for my '00 Z24 (front bumper lip).
I had it sanded/painted (looks really good too) and am ready to mount it - the question is... what size hardware do I need? It has holes in the wheel fender areas and across the top of the front of the lip there are loops for screws - but what setup of washers/hardware do you recommend?
Thanks in advance.
GM uses these expensive little clips.... I've never found anything close to them unfortunately. I spent the $200 or so for the hardware at GM to mount mine properly.
ima have the body shop mount mine...so the clips are 200...eek

Why can't you just find another cheaper way to mount the lip? Can't you use screws and a washer all along the bottom of the lip? Just an idea,

Ryan - good call. I did specify that it had loops for screws and that I was asking about a screw/washer setup, which is what I ended up doing.
I used predrilling screws with small washers for the wheel well fenders, just measured those two to make sure they were in the same spot. I used the same screws with fender washers just to hold the very corners up nice and snug so there is no gap whatsoever. I duct taped the lip up in what I thought was the right place (this project definitely required two people as the lip needs to be held slightly deformed in place if it has been sitting for any time and relaxed) and marked the spots to drill. Drilled the middle four of the six spots, mounted them with bolts/fender washers. The fender washers didn't fit exactly so we grinded them down to make them fit in the space above the bolt. If the lip shows any flex after some more driving (it has help up great so far) I will use the outter 2 spots of the 6 loops to put in another 2 self-drilling screws.
All hardware was 1/4" and cost 2.70 total at wal-mart. Makes me glad that AutoZone was closed.
Looks good, but I'd recommend having a friend stand back to check for fitment while you mark the spots you're going to drill because the first spots we initially drilled... we later realized made the lip about an inch in from the front of the bumper which looked goofy. You could also use some reference pictures as the lip doesnt really 'fit over' any of the bumper all that well and it's almost a matter of choice as to how you mount it exactly.
