Thanks......... but all that stuff makes my head go insane i don't know wtf is going on their its all just odd i guess i was looking for something more easyer kinda like the post , Silverfire01 did a while ago for
http://www.oznium.com/hid , that looks like its really easy to install and i can do that quite simple... any suggestions? the 03 Sunfire takes a H7 correct and i was thinking of going with the 14,000k but dude said its purple i was thinking more the 8,000k or the 10,000k but that 10,000k looks to much blue tho. I wouldn't mind a simple kit ( the 8,000k one) any ... thanks again

yes you would need projection head lights to have angel eyes, but no company out there makes them, josh (izntrbl), my self, and eazy (i think thats who it is) are the only ones that make them or carry the parts to make them!

^^correct. you have to have projector lenses to accompany the HID's and angel eyes
im making a set of 00-02 cav projectors as we speak. the light output seems pretty good so far. as far as i know, you cant use HID without a matching projector since they get so hot they would melt the housing.
someone please correct me if im wrong
the projector is used to focus the actual beam. It is very important when putting in h.i.ds that a retrofit with actual H.I.D projectors accompany it.
some common H.I.D projectors are : Bosch E46s, Valeos, S2000 Projectors (Stanley), Acura TLs, Acura TSXs.
p.s. H.I.Ds will not melt a stock housing, but the stock reflectors are meant to reflect a halogen pattern which is completely different to a H.I.D pattern you will cause a lot of glare and piss off many drivers....

true and not true. some hid bulbs are MADE for a reflector housing. some are made for projectors. there are small differences. if you get the bulbs meant for reflector housings you shouldnt be blinding people unless your lights are out of alignment. Ive had hids of many sorts for the past 4-5 years, only once was there a time people flashed me, but thats because my lights were aimed 2 inches higher than they should have been, my mistake.
"Lil Brudder! He's got the heart of a champion!"
what you are talking about are the D2"R" bulbs, what is done is they put a capping on the end of the bulb help eliminate most of the glare.... It is still reccomended that you retrofit...
and a side note.
why should you have to aim your lights lower thus compromising the distance you can see down the road. and dont tell me you get the same light output as me with a stock reflective housing. Because i have used both and its like night and day the difference....

i suggest everyone read the university section.
I just want to know one thing, if i get the HID kit from
http://www.oznium.com/hid the 8,000-10,000k ones still thinking... ummm will they work in my stock headlight setting?

First of all, i never said i had to aim them lower than normal, just that they were 2 inches too high. Meaning they would have been misaimed with factory lights too. They were just up too high is all. If there was a problem using hids in reflector housings then why would so many companies do it from the factory?? Personally i have no problem with the amount of light that is put out, it FAR exceeds factory lights. Its sometimes like i have no lights on at all, even with my brights........after the hid conversion i can see. I had bixenons with shields, etc in my jeep with 6054 hella ecodes and they are an awesome setup.

ya so back to my questions? no more highjacking my topic!

the highest you want to go in the kalvin scale is 6000k.
optimal is 4100-4300k as that is where you get the most light output
the link to that h.i.d. kit = kit is garbage. your ballast will most likely burn up on you in 6 monthes. Go O.E.M or just dont use h.i.ds trust me.
Also make sure you use a wiring harness.

thanks man thats all i wanted to know!

okay I just purchased a complete pair of BMW E46/M3 projectors with the ignitors, ballasts, bulbs, and wiring. I can see that on the ballasts there is an adaptor socket for the 9006 low beam plug to go to. Does anybody know what the other socket might be for. I went to Advance Auto to see if any other bulbs might fit and they dont, so would that socket be for a high bea or something else? Do I need a special wiring harness? Oh! and it's the BMW's OEM. Thanks in advance
If i am not mistaken you will need a special wiring harness. I had to buy a wire harness for my 9007. Once i remember the site i will post it.

if you could possibly post a picture i could tell you
im thinking they are most likely a d2s socket. but i cant be sure as i dont have the bmw ballasts in my car nor do i know which brand they use...
I found out the other socket was for the angel eye plug, however I believe I still need a wiring harness. Where can I get one thats 9006 compatible? and is the wiring harness just plug and play?
The 2003-2005 Sunfires use H9 and H11 bulbs for the headlights, and 880 bulbs for the fog lights.
Someone said something about H7s which is not the case.

i use my HID in my high beam for months now never melted anything
ok, new situation! I plugged in the 9006 into the socket on the ballast and when I turned on the light the D2S bulb just kept flickering like a cops lights. Knowing that wasnt good I turned it off, and when I plugged the 9006 bulbs back in and turned on the lights they were dim. And now the low and high beam come on, but there both really dim. So, I'm assuming a wiring harness is muchly needed. Can this be fixed?
when you turned the lights on, did you have the car running if not turn the car on first then turn the hids on...shey should work fine, i have a 8000k kit in my car just upgraded my harness lights are more white/blue color now that i did the upgradeed harness
