Well i finally got fed up with these things. My car is a daily driver and i just cant take the lambos anymore. The drivers side wont line up at all(needs shimmed out atleast 1 inch), plus they rub on the fenders when opening. One shock broke aleady and the metal is starting to rust due to weathering.

i have had fine for a while now and mine had never rubbed the fenders yet, but how much u going to sell them for bro
Had mine for like a month and sold them. But that was like 1-2 ago.
I know the feeling.I had two shocks break. I finally took mine off after one day when I got to my girlfriends house opened the door and the shock snapped. Luckily my leg was still in the car, the door crashed down and hit the ground.

if its rubbing your fender and stuff ADJUST IT!
if it need to be shimmed or whatever DO IT!
suddenly they wont be such a pain
although a have to admit the shock giving out does totally suck
slap some rust resistant paint on there and go over it with a strong black paint and it holds pretty good
Get ahold of me for a price. The passanger side fit perfect but the drivers side needed alot of work. The holes needed enlarged for the door to line up fron to back and i have it shimmed out like 3/4 of an inch right now and it still needs to come out more. I can hear air coming in them when i drive also. I painted them once with rustoleum and clear and it peeled right off. They're just getting played out overall anyways plus the girlfriend has a tough time pulling the door down and i get sick of letting her in and out. haha....how gentlemenly of me.

lol im debating the same thing i really like them but as for the daily driver thing it just sucks. Maybe i need to take them off and align them better who knows what im gonna do
If anyone else is selling pm me im interested. and what brand you have, if its the modified motorsports ones then i woudl like to know what shocks you have.
Whats kits are you guys using the MMS kit? could be very well that.. VDI prolly wouldnt have as many problems i wouldnt think..
biggest mess up people who while installing is take off the door.. you can almost never get it perfect after you take off the door. but if you leave it on and bolt up the kit and do the adjustments then put back the fender it would work flawlessly
I took mine off same probably with my drivers door breaking and crashing sold them didnt want to deal with it anymore. i knida miss them but then again i dont
yea i realized i messed up and took the door off to put them on but its to late now. I was on the first gp for mms doors. LIke i said i like them but i dont kno they are a pain right now for being a daily driver i'll prob end up keeping them cuase i doutb anyone would want ot buy them off me unless u sell them for dirt cheap and its not worth it.
so anyone selling them cheaper than in the gp with shipping?

I've been wanting to do lambos forever, but I have a daily driver as well and I've heard they are just too much trouble.
After reading this post, I think I'll stay away from them until I can one day afford to use mine just as a show car (like that day will ever come)
Besides, lambos are getting kind of cliche anyway...
The lambos now are like what spinners were. My opinion, and I don't like spinners. I never had a problem with crashing doors. I had more trouble with people thinking they were on the price is right and spinning the big wheel. Gots to get it all the way around you know?

While we have had some issues with the MMS hinges, we've also had these same issues with the VDI hinges. Basically, lambo door hinges are not recommended for daily drivers. The constant up and down of the door a few times a day will definitely takes it's toll on any hinge and/or shock. The design of the hinges was so that the doors could still be opened like "stock". But, who buys hinges just so they can open them up like "stock"??? The fun of it is opening them "lambo" style to show them off. I know I was opening mine up every chance I could get.
We have sold 350+ hinge kits to the JBO alone. Yes, there have been some issues, but the number of issues is very, very minimal in comparrison to the amount sold. Anyone that knows us though, knows that we stand behind what we sell and we will do whatever we can to make you happy and help out.
^^^He speaketh the truth. I don't normally open my door upward unless I'm just in the mood or if it makes it easier for people to get in the car. So far it's been a year and they're still holding good (minus one shock replacement).
