Is there any way to identify the ECO version of the 2002 Cavy to the 2200 Cavy?
it says ECOTEC right on top?
this is the exterior forum is it not?
like ls sport model versus base model?
2002 cavaliers with the ecotec have foglights in the bumper.
02 cavaliers with fogs can have either 2.4's or EcoTecs....
*most* of the cavaliers with fogs and chrome rims are EcoTecs (some Z's did get the chrome rims)
*most* of the cavaliers with Z24 badges have the 2.4 (unless your in Canada, or the dealer threw the badges on)
Pop the hood, and it says EcoTec right on the engine.
8th digit of the vin is a F (T is 2.4, 4 is 2200, 6 is BiFuel 2200)

i have the 2.4 w/ fogs
easiest way to tell is if it has badges or not, and the wheels, chromies = ecotec
non chromies = 2.4

My brothers 02 z24 had fogs also, i mean why wouldnt it, its the top of the line cavalier.
The wheels are the best way to tell.
Well.... stock..... all other things equal...
Whichever one takes off faster at the light.... that's a 2.4L. The one that's really close behind is a 2.2L Ecotec... the one that's still at the line when the other two are a block away, that's the 2200.

i dunno about that, stock for stock i beat 2.4s all the time, and im on 18s. I guess it depends alot on how you can drive.
