I did search the faq for fenders, but am interested in getting stock replacement. I didn't want any with fancy vents in them or anything.
does anyone make them in fiberglass or cf?
the reason i ask is, my fenders right near the back of the wheel well on the outside are starting to rust, instead of fixing those every year, I'd like to replace them with fiberglass or c/f as neither with rust and will only need a touch up.
I'm an exterior newb, just hoping someone can help me out
cheers
A C/F Z3 style would be awsome personally.
which would be great, but I really dont want to take away from the clean 'stock' appearance.
I cann get you fiberglass fenders wraped in c/f. email me if intrested.
Also if that doesnt work out you can email me what you are looking for and I can shoot you a price for fiberglass fenders as well

of course, you can get any style fiberglass fender, do a little quick glass work and make them appear oem style. z3 would be the easiest to do that to.
yep, thought about doing that too, just glassing over those ugly vents.
thanks for the help
A true cf set of fenders would be sweet. I saw a civic last night that had some and it looked pretty nice with a matching cf hood, lip, sideskirt, and trunk I thought. Are the fiberglass fenders lighter than the stock ones? If so by how much?
~Boost. Its what's for dinner!~
certainly fiberglass would be lighter then steel fenders. I hate having to repaint my fenders after every winter, it'd be nice to just touch it up (if it were fiberglass)
I'm not as interested in CF wrapped fiberglass fenders as that would defeat the 'lightweight' purpose behind it.
i have an idea... why not put the $500 thad be going to ur cf fenders into a POS car to drive in the winter? it just makes me sick to see nice cars being RUINED by winter.
why even bother having a nice car if all ur gonna do is destroy it?

When you know how to drive, you don't destroy it.....
Man I am glad I live in Cali. I can't imagine havig to have two cars just because of snow or whatever ruins your cars.
