Im lookin for anyone who has the drift kit for an 03 and up cavalier made by VIS on their car. I have the front bumper on mine and i tried to put the side skirts on and they stick out away from the door jam pretty far as well as sitting about 2 inches lower than the front bumper. Any one with this kit have any problems like this?
Here are some pics of the side skirt sticking out too far..
im sure he is going ask how to do that ... u can fiberglass i would think if u have the motivation but im sure they have a diff method thats easyer i know when i had gotten my kit for my 91 saturn sl, i had to use screws in the door jams to keep it on , the fitment was hoorrible too
5 seconds to find another street...
i thought of fiberglassin it but it will sill sit alot lower than the front end and i cant have that....and i need them to be removable so i can still jack up my car to change the oil...
stick to what? it dont even push in far enough to overlap the lip in the doorjam..
You can't push against it to get it to sit up against the sill? Those things are relatively flexible for the distance it looks like yours has to go. Looks similar to my old fg drift kit skirt fitment, I just had to push on it to get it to sit against the sill, then I used screws to hold it there.

First of all everyone should have told you....YOU SHOULD ALWAYS FIT A BODY KIT BEFORE SENDING IT OFF TO PAINT.
nevermind..i got them on. i pushed it up in that lip and screwed it down...theres alot of pressure on them tho. but they are on now and look good. BTW the kit was fitted before we painted it. its just after we did the paint kinda made it bow out in places. but its good to go now..
^^ never heard of paint making it bow out... New one on me..
thats the only thing i can think of cause it was fittin pretty good before we painted them..hmm i dunno
Hey man post some picks when you get it done!! I just ordered the same kit last week....
