what are using to scrape the goo off with?

and also make sure you take your time and dont try the "well this is coming off easy enough, i'll just pull it off" or you're going to have problems like i did.

good luck man, the car is sooo much cleaner when they're off

I went to do mine the other day and noticed that who ever painted the car before I bought it didn't remove the side moldings when they did it, so it looks as if the paint had build up on top of the molding....any suggestions?

if you took it all off already and dont want to get repainted ... i dont know how that would trun out ... clean the spot were the molding was and clean the molding and then get some 3M tape and re-intall the molding.

leave them alone until you're ready for a new paintjob

That's what I'm going to do, wait for the paint job and remove the molding. No more of this little steps to changing my car, going back to stock and getting everything I need to get it all done right.

i took mine off and it was the same color underneath..not 1 shade off..

i used an 1 1/2" puddy knife and a razor blade worked great a little residue was left over just put a little gasoline on a rag takes it right off (only if you didn't scratch through), and a little buffing compound with a lint free towel

it was the same color underneath the side molding, but it was the clearcoat that wasn't smooth.
