Fresh Paint. Water spots/Bugs/Soap

Hey guys. I just got the front half of my car repainted becuase of a little run in with flying gravel. Anyways, I'm a little paranoid about my paint, and was wondering is water spots from after washing the car will hurt the paint at all.

Also, since spring is now in full bloom, bugs are coming out. Since it's impossible to avoid them, is it a bad thing if their guts are all over the fresh paint?

And while I'm at it, is it safe to use soap also? I'm not going to use the blue coral wash and wax soap that I usually do, since it contains carnauba wax. But I also have this Armor All Car Wash Concentrate, I'm wondering if this would be safe to use.

Thanks a lot.

u will be fine, i work at a dealership detailing cars, and washing the ones right out of the body shop, never hurt one yet, and i use car wash soap and stuff

it wont hurt anything, but i wouldnt leave the bugs on there for long though
and dont wax it!!

go to wal mart...buy yourself a bug scrubber...its a sponge with a net around it...its the BEST thing to get bugs off paint......TRUST ME, just dip in it some soapy water and go to town. I work at hertz car rental detailing cars...its all i ever use. Its fast and easy...and NO it doesnt not scratch the paint, we have 2006 cars and i do it all the time and their paint is just fine. to pervent even more bugs...get yourself some static-cling siran wrap...wrap up your front bumper whenever you go a far distance...it helps a lot to do this as well. as far as new paint goes, i know you shouldnt pressure wash it for about a week after paint..but after that you should be golden

well I'm not worried about getting the bugs off. I'm just wondering if I get them on there if there will be a problem if I don't wash them off for a couple days, same with the waterspots.

and about the soap, is it just best to wait week to use any? or is it ok to use right away?

to answer your question
if the car was painted in a booth with baking abllities after the cool down washing your car will not hurt it, bugs will not hurt it either
painted in a cross draft booth with no heat washing it will not hurt it either, in my experience it`s usally 2 days ya got assembly maybe goin to have wheel alignment, who knows car comes back sand and buff it

fresh paint does scratch easy so use a soft towel i would wait almost 3 weeks to wax the car that`s if it was not painted in a baking booth, painted in a baking booth PPG says right after the cool down which is a couple of hours

so in conclusion yes it is safe to wash the car

can i haz bondo

Thanks for the help so far guys.

But I haven't heard anything about waterspots. After I wash the car I can't help but have some on there, even if I tried to hand dry it. I know some can hurt the car, but I think that is only if there's water on the car and there is a nice bright sun out. I've had than happen to the paint before, and a nice hand wash and wax got rid of those, but that was not on fresh paint. I'm just worried about them cause some permanant damage to my clear coat if I let them sit for too long.
