ok since i no longer have my spare tire cover can anyone tell me the factory paint code for the ultra silver metallic. I went to paint scratch and they gave me this info:
Chevrolet codes can be confusing! For example, the color code 96/WA8867 listed on our site can be shown on your vehicle as 96U or 96L or 8867 or WA8867.
Can anyone verify this for me. would be a big help have some work to get done shortly.
the "u" is not needed just 8867
just an FYI the body shop used my paint code off MY car to get the paint.... the color was way off, they ended up taking my gas door and getting it sent out to some kind of machine that views it under different types of lights to get an acurate breakkdown of whats it made of. I can tell you though you will NEVER match silver metalic ever, its either painted all at once form the same mixture or it will be off, not by much but it will be off
i'm with DS on that. i have an ultra silver metalic nadn no one canm m atch it right. i'm fighting with the shop that just painted my car right now over the fact that it doesnt match at all. and this is an awsome body shop at a caddy dealer.
well when they repained my front end after my wreck they painted about half the doors to blend it in and i cant tell the difference....this was at a Chevy bodyshop i d k tho....
Thanx Charles
my you can't tell but I bet you anything its noticable to some people, especially in certain light
