So...im puttin my cavalier in a car show, and i was wondering what would be the better thing turtle waz or some kind of polish?? i think wax...what yall think??
Polish is what takes out a lot of scratches and gets the car uber-shiny. Wax is what locks it all in.
I'd do no less than wash/clay/wax.
Here's what I do:
Wash the car good.
Claybar the entire car (removes all the contaminents as well as the old wax/polish).
Hit any scratches or bug/tar residue with Scratch X (most should be removed with the clay though).
Use a paint cleaner.
Polish it real good (this gives the paint a deeper look and finish.
At least 1-2 coats of Wax.

Yep. Especially for the front bumper, hood, and anywhere that is 'horizontal' and can catch crap (i.e. tree sap).
holy crap, all that really helps, how much do you think all the would cost?? like the

Forget the clay bar and use Meguires Body Scrub instead! It does the EXACT same thing for a fraction of the time and effort and yeilds the same results.
After that polish and then wax.

You can go to
Meguiar's Online Store:
Clay Bar: $16.99
Scratch X: $7.99
Paint Cleaner: $4.99 (though I used the cleaner wax that was included in the Clay kit, and hit the rougher areas with Scratch X)
Polish: $7-15
Waxes:
Deep Crystal: $4.99
Gold Glass Wax: $10.99
NXT: $15.99
You will need to pay shipping, and possibly tax as well. However the prices are very competitive with anywhere I checked. And you dont pay for the gas to go driving around and finding crap. Pep Boys had the best selection in my area.
Here is what I recently found with over the counter places (i.e. autozone, pep boys, etc.)
Clay Bar: $15-20
Scratch X: $6-10
Paint Cleaner: $5-8 (though I used the cleaner wax that was included in the Clay kit, and hit the rougher areas with Scratch X)
Polish: $7-15
Wax: $7-15
Jacaklope, I dont recall seeing the body scrub, but I'll keep my eyes peeled the next time I need materials. m
I'm telling ya the stuff is awesome !!
