Has anybody ever had to tiny dents in your door panels, fender, quarter panels, etc that you just cant stand?
Whats the easiest way to get rid of them without spending an arm and a leg?
let me tell you some time next week lol. Im going get ride of one thats in my right rear 1/4 panel. im just going to take the fender liner out and lightly hit the dent out.
if they are small door dings go with paintless dent repair=pdr
can i haz bondo
and where do you get so called pdr?
Well, if your willing to do it urself.. its a lot of work!! Im in the middle of repairing my fiberglass front and rear bumpers as well as my passenger sideskirt from the small bubbles that have broken.... im lucky enough to have a dad that has ever tool imaginable so I grabbed his 6" Orbital sander slapped on a 400 grit disc and sanded the hole / dent and the area around it so it FEATHERS off smooth... after that I then took some putty filled the hole, let it dry then sand down smooth again with 400 grit. now once it is smooth grab some finishing putty, apply a very THIN layer, this will fill in the tiny tiny scratches made by the orbital sander..... after that is applied SAND BY HAND!! I again used 400 grit. then prime and paint..... its not as easy as it sounds , i do have a little experiance in body work so it wasnt too difficult for me... the best advice i can give you is to take your time and practice.
I don't think he would want to do all that work just for 1 small dent. I also have a dent in my 1/4 panel. It's like 2mm, but very noticable from certain angles. lol
well thats all you really can do, unless you take it to a bodyshop and have them try to pop it out..... i woundt suggest trying to pop it out yourself because chances are you will make it 10 times worse....
If you get a popper kit you can do it yourself...By buddy did it, he knows as much as me, which is basicly jack @!#$ and he got rid of a huge dent from hitting a pole.
Who in their right mind would sand down a whole 1/4 panel, fender, door, primer it and paint it just for 1 small dent? The supplies would cost as much as paying someone to pop the dent. Im sorry but doing all that body work for a small dent is just not smart at all. And guess what, if you do sand everything down, you still have to pop the dent! Sanding it wont magicly pop the dent back to normal.

only way i can imagine doing that for a dent(s) if its seriouss hail damage
i have a small dent on my drivers side door..picture a mag light..the smallest one they make, and the impact points are what my dent looks like (older brother, when he owned the car, got pissed and threw one at it)

hmm i didnt mind her too much...then again i like um to have a lil meat on the bones...anyways back to topic...somtihng to concider , if you just pop it out you better hope the paint is willing to flex with it...second...dont hit it too hard or it might come out the other side or just the dent move if the metal gets stretched with you working on it

...i beg to differ
PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR!!! if you just have small door dings have them taken out by that method, it`s cheaper and faster, but be careful in the company you choose
can i haz bondo
I have seen some of the dent pro's using dry ice to suck the small dent out.(wear a glove as it's -24 F) It's amazing it just contracts the metal so much it pulls it right back to it's original shape. This applies to door dings only and minor hail damage.

i've heard/thought of this before too. sounds like a good idea for minor damage. Will the dry ice damage the paint at all?
shouldnt as long as you dont hit it while its that cold

I haven't seen many dents in fiberglass at all, in fact I have not seen 1 dent in fiberglass, fiberglass cracks all the time, it CAN dent I belive.
What happens when somebody backs into a stock rear bumper just a little bit? It dents. If its fiberglass, it cracks.
And why would ANYBODY want to do all that work for dents unless its really serious (big dents/lots of dents).
Small dents = pop the dent, no painting needed.
I bought a Ding King at Pep Boys for $20 and have had pretty good success... most dents it won't get out perfectly (if there is a visible crease in the dent, forget about getting it all the way out), but it does go a long way. A word of warning though, the glue gun that comes with it SUCKS... best if you have one of your own that heats up hot enough.
